Dr. Michael Wanyugi Njenga, MBChB, FRNZCGP, FRACGP, is a Family Physician with 24 years of clinical experience across Alberta (Canada), New Zealand, and Australia. His international practice background has provided him with broad expertise in diverse healthcare systems and models of primary care delivery.

As the Medical Director of Engage Global Health (EGH), Dr. Njenga provides clinical leadership and strategic oversight, ensuring high standards of care, operational excellence, and patient-centered service delivery. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to support the development and sustainability of health centres and community-based care models.

Dr. Njenga has a strong clinical interest in General Practice, Mental Health, Refugee Health, Men’s Health, and Preventative Medicine. His work reflects a commitment to comprehensive, accessible primary care and improving health outcomes for diverse populations.

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree and is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He has also served in leadership roles, including as a Board Director of the North Primary Care Network in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Njenga enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing sports. He speaks English and Swahili.
